The load was a welcome addition to an old Atlas centerbeam flatcar that I have but that lacked a load. I chose Domtar because I like blue. Later I did some research on Domtar and it is an interesting company from Canada with an interesting history. But I still like blue. The load is two plastic shells joined with a post and barrel system at three locations. You press the post snugly into the barrel on the other piece which fits between the bars of the centerbeam framework. When I first unpacked the load I had difficulty getting the two shells apart and realized that if in the future I decided to remove the load then I needed to open up the barrels enough to make it a little easier to pull apart without destroying the freight car in the process but still tight enough to not fall apart. The dimensions of one shell side is approx 10 inches long, 9/16 inches deep and 1 and 3/8 inches high which is about 3/16 inches shy of the top of the centerbeam and the front and rear bulkheads. The centerbeam flatcar now has a nice look to it with a little more color. I was really pleased with the result and recommend the product. If I get another centerbeam flatcar, I would definitely buy another lumber load for it after seeing how much it adds to the look of the flatcar.
