US M38A1C 1/4-Ton Jeep

I didnt quite know what to expect when I ordered this model kit. I have spent a lot of time and energy on aviation and mechanical hardware but never much on regular military vehicles. To my surprise this is an unbelievably detailed and thorough kit. From actually building the engine and transmission to the driveshafts and shock absorbers, this kit covers the jeep from the frame up. It was a lot of tweezer and magnifying work. I really enjoyed the build. It probably is not for the novice builder but it would be educational none the less. I can honestly say that I didnt find any really bad areas in the construction. I would give this little jeep 2 thumbs up. It is as simple to construct as the real jeep was to maintain. Always reliable and always there. See my photos.
