Cutty Sark Ship

This is a very poorly made kit that I can't recommend. Even before touching on that I was disappointed that it does not come with a full set of sails. One of the impressive things about a Clipper Ship model is seeing it a full sail. This kit is missing many of the sails that a Clipper would have and even the lower main sails are displayed furled. As far as quality goes it's very poor; the hull half's are of very thin plastic and are a bit warped so they don't fit together well at all. The remainder of the parts are just covered with scrap plastic. On many of the smaller pieces such as ladders it's in between the ladder rungs, removing all of this would take a very long time and with the smaller pieces would be difficult to do without breaking them. Also a significant number of the small delicate pieces are of very thin plastic and some are warped. I know this is an old kit but it's obvious the molds for this kit are no longer viable and should not have been used. I'm not even going to attempt to build this one, that's how bad it is. Can't recommend it at any price.
