WWII British Hawker Tempest Mk V Fighter

This kit is small in parts count, but big in its ease of construction. As with the new tool Airfix kits, the value and quality of them is something to be commended. They fall together nicely, with minimal or no filler (I didnt use any on my build), have just enough details for out of the box builds to be great looking pieces - but also provide an excellent foundation for adding aftermarket details and make a real show stopper. My only gripe with this and other Airfix kits, is their use of Humbrol call outs for the paints. It would be nice if they would include along with the Humbrol numbers, what the comparable paints would be in other lines. Like is seen in other kits. The decals were fantastic on this kit - and I used them for the invasion stripes with no issues. It just took some setting solution to get snugged down, but was well worth the patience. I really had a blast with this kit - and its a great piece to have if you built the Typhoon as well; You can really see the lineage between the two when side by side. Anyone from newcomers to veteran builders would have no issues with this one.
