Ammo By MIG Is Always My Go-To Paint
I only use Ammo by Mig acrylic color and Vallejo Model Air and I much prefer Ammo by Mig. In no particular order here’s what I recommend about it: Behavior with airbrush is very good; often needs no thinner; very little clogging; water-based so easy cleanup and no toxic fumes; ball bearing included in bottle for easy shaking/mixing; consistent pigment; much cheaper than Tamiya paints; huge selection of colors, metallics, washes, shaders, etc. I’d also say that although Ammo by Mig is primarily designed for airbrushing, it also works well when hand brushed in two or three thin coats. Also worth mentioning are the specially themed four-bottle sets, for example WWII Luftwaffe Aircraft, that are excellent if you’re going to build and paint a number of similar models that have the same color scheme.
