I can't remember how many times I've built this truck. I keep buying it for all the extra goodies in the box. I bought this kit when it was called Diamond in the Rough and came with a 1939-40 Ford 2 door sedan that was already wrecked. I still have the Ford unbuilt in my stash of kits. The instructions were accurate and well drawn. The flash was heavy in some spots and needed some work. I have 7 of these trucks on my shelves and this is the first one I have built without a tweeked frame. This frame sat flat and even, so check your frames. Other then that with goes together great. I painted it a Candy Root beer over copper with a Tan and brown interior. I would recommend this kit to all builders. It is a lot of fun.

Fun kit to build. No problems with part fitting. Enjoyed the time it took me to build it.

I bought this kit mainly for the trailer and welding tanks and tools. There is plenty of flash that's dealt with easily and parts fit is pretty good. The 53 Ford actually turns out pretty fun to build, lots of options to be had. I do wish when AMT includes two engines in a kit that they also include a engine stand.
