A Simple, but very detailed kit

Like most modern submarine models, there are not a lot of pieces to assemble, so it is a simple build. There is a LOT of accurate detail molded into the hull and sail, making this a very realistic representation of America's premier fast-attack sub. The one thing to watch out for are the 6 itsy-bitsy tiny cleats that install along the top of the hull - you will need tiny tweezers, patience, CA glue, and an optimistic disposition to get all 6 of them in. Since Hobby Boss included the alternate pieces to make 3 different variations of the 688 class sub, you can easily convert this to any particular boat in the fleet by just printing out decals of the hull number you need - I made mine the SSN-697 Indianapolis.
