I bought this kit because I like the 60’s and 70’s open wheel race cars. I was excited when I received this kit. This kit is almost at the level of a Tamiya kit. The parts are great, there’s a lot of details on the parts, and a lot of parts compared to similar models. The instructions are detailed, with reference to Tamiya paint. Unfortunately, there are 2 problems with this kit. The instructions show how to install the plug wires to the distributor, but you have to buy them separately. The second problem made me throw this kit in the trash. On these cars there are a lot of thin rods for the purpose of connecting the engine to the chassis. I installed one on the back of the engine to hold the exhaust pipes later. I barely touch them and they broke apart. Later, I went to install one of the rods that attach the engine to the chassis, and I discovered that they put an attachment pin from the part frame on the pin that goes onto a hole on the engine. While trying to remove the excess plastic and chrome from this part it also broke in two. My belief is these parts are made to scale, but are too thin to be handed as they break very easily. Unless you have the patience of a saint, and nerves of steel I wouldn’t recommend this kit, as the price is higher than similar kits with a lot more problems.
