This is a fairly good performer and has nice granular control. A must to have if using Kato Turnout Control switches. Used while operating layout before move to DCC and satisfied with the exception of the use of electrical contacts also serving as the way of mechanically fastening turnout switches to it. Issue with turnout switches periodically failing to make solid connection. Adequate power for smaller layouts though struggles (somewhat loaded down) a little when also driving the Kato Double Crossover but not noticeable with Karo standard switches.

I am so impressed with these power packs! I replaced 3 brand new transformers with these and I love them. The Kato controllers snap right on. I would recommend a built-in way to mount then though. I have a fold down control table and I had to Krazy Glue them to the board. worked OK though and I am happy with the result.
