1950 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 - Assembled

If I was alive and of age to drive the original to this replica, I would be it's proud owner! This replica is so attractive to me. Oxford hit a home run capturing the 1950 Olds' Rocket 88. The body is die-cast with plastic wheels and undercarriage. The straight silver lines are decidedly aimed, the curves are perfectly placed and the red and cream paint and it's chromey bumpers wrap this model into a perfect marriage. The head and tail lights are lens color painted and the license plates are legible. My favorite part of this model is the trunk & back fenders. How elegant and shapely it is. Seems quite upscale for an Olds. Its a gorgeous addition to any layout in my opinion. The only reason I couldn’t give this model and many others like it a 5 star rating is because of the wheels. While it looks awesome with it's white walled rubbers ( which are actually plastic of course ) and do the job, they are not smooth if you roll it.
