Westjet Airliner (5'' Wingspan) (Die Cast)

If you're a collector of model commercial airliners, but don't have the time or patience to build a plastic model version of your favorite plane, then this is a great option. It only gets 4 stars because it's not a perfect rendition of the real thing, but for the price and as a collector's item, it's pretty nice. A few things I want to point out about this model. First, the design/logos on the plane exist as a combination of print/paint and stickers. Second, the wingspan is about 148mm (14.8cm). This is equal to just under 6 inches. In case you're wondering, this means this model plane is about 1:405 scale. Third, this model is both plastic and diecast metal. The fuselage is mostly metal, while the wings and elevator are mostly plastic. Fourth, if you buy this for a little one to play with, it's surprisingly durable. But the elevators tend to break off first, as they're plastic. Also, if your little one wants to roll the plane on the floor, the front wheel (landing gear) is most likely going to be first to break. Overall, a great buy, especially for a child or anyone who's more interested in having something to play with or collect, as opposed to having a model with high scale fidelity.
