"Good paint"

If olive drab is just too drab for you, then here's the solution! This is ind of a dull dark green that has lost of uses. It is good for military models, and I like to use it in place of olive drab if I'm planning on doing a lot of dark weathering. I think it would also go well with some car models (with a glossy top coat) and figures too. The smaller pots aren't as good of a value as the 'oz., but they are still worth it if you're not planning on using it a lot. It's a really good paint for the airbrush, but it can also be used with normal brushes too. Its consistency is a bit on the thick side, but thins well with water (though Tamiya also makes an acrylic thinner that is better). For brush painting you should thin it to 5-6 parts paint to 1 part water to get a very nice brushstroke free look in 3-4 coats. For airbrushing, thin more. Very good paint.

"Best model paint by far"

Tamiya makes the hobby paint on the planet. Its so easy to work with. The coverage is awesome. At first, coming from Testors, I was hesitant because Testors is so thin and barely covers. Once I used it, it was a game changer. I will be switching all my paints to Tamiya.

Despite this name, this shade might be a little bit closer to Olive Drab than Olive Green, but this paint, like most other Tamiya acrylics, can be easily modified by mixing in a different paint to adjust the shade. This paint will be a staple of any military modeler.
