"Fairly Detailed for a snap-tite."
mike
I did not realize it was a snap tite when I purchased this particular kit, even with the fact that it is a snap-tite kit it has a pretty good level of detail molded into it, and on the engine it's self. The hood can be opened on this particular kit, though there are no hinges (instead just mounting-pins molded into the underside to seat it onto the body), one would have to be creative in making their own hinges or propping the hood open because of this fact to show off the engine, but outside of that a nice feature for a snap model. The engine has decent detail for it being a snap-kit, for a more advanced modeler it would be very easy to upgrade the engine to a higher level of detail. The parts fit quite well with little to no alteration required to make them connect, just be careful when painting the engine as the tolerances on that particular snap location are pretty tight. The detail on the exterior bodywork is on par with non-snap kits in my opinion, from the mirror to the antenna being present along with all the chrome components on the front and back, though the rear taillights do not have lenses (they are molded into the rear insert) and instead have to be painted red to be accurate. For a snap kit this one has pretty good detailing, putting it nearly on par with most skill 2 models that are not snap kits, while the number of pieces that you have to handle in the kit are pretty low, they are fairly detailed and this fact makes up for the limited quantity of parts that you expect with a snap kit. I would suggest this kit to someone who just wants a fairly basic build, or someone just starting out as a good kit to start with.
