Ultra Flush Cutting Shear (410A)

The Ultraflush cutting shear cuts small or soft material with virtually no "pinch". It leaves a finished or near finished surface. CUT DIFFERS FROM THE 410T only in terms of smoothness, not in terms of how closely it will cut against an adjacent surface.

I haven't fully used these yet but in my trials of cutting very small gauge wire and some thin plastic I have to say I'm impressed. As a born again modeler I figured I would try out some of the tools the advanced fellas are using. So far so good. I can see these being used for multiple options besides just scale modelling. On a side note, I was surprised to see that these are spring loaded as it wasn't mentioned in the description. Not really a spring as much as it's a piece of thick wire but better than nothing and having the handles flop around.

"good tool!"

Nice to finally get something that works well and works as advertised. It makes a nice fine cut and there is little need to file the edge as I am so used to doing when I use other products.

This is a great little tool for photo-etched parts.

"Not the best cutters."

I bought these shears for the price. Well, I got what I paid for. There are some good points, they are sharp, and comfortable to use. The big problem with mine is the spring that keeps the jaws open wore out after two or three models. They still work, but without the spring to return the jaws open, it makes it hard on the old hand. I will be investing in a better pair.

Comments

Use ONLY on Soft Materials OR it will cause scarring on the edges.
