"Excellent model for a beginner"
ArcticFox (Kingston On Canada)
The German E25 tank is an excellent purchase for a beginner as there is no tricky part to be build and can be completed in few hours if you decide to use the rubber track provided with it. If you want to make this model a bit more challenging you can choose to build the track yourself also provided with the model as an option. You also have two option design for the rooftop (Commander cuppola and hatch) and over the engine (vents). --- HISTORIC OF THE E-25 --- The Entwicklung series, more commonly known as the E-series, was a late-World War II attempt by Germany to produce a standardized series of tank designs. There were to be standard designs in six different weight classes, from which several specialized variants were to be developed. This was necessitated by the extremely complex tank designs that had resulted in poor production rates and mechanical unreliability. The E-series designs were simpler, cheaper to produce and more efficient than their predecessors, however their design involved only modest improvements in armour and firepower over the designs they were intended to replace, such as the Hetzer, Panther G or King Tiger. The E-25 was planned to be developed into a tank destroyer and reconnaissance tank. The company Argus developed a the vehicle whose design was very similar to the design of Jagdpanzer Hetzer. The five built in Alkett were driven by the 12-cylinder Maybach HL 230 P 30, rated 700hp, designed to be able to reach 65 kilometers per hour. The 26.3-ton vehicle carried a four man crew and was armed with the 7.5 cm PAK L70 gun. Additionally, there was the anti-aircraft flak a 2-cm in a small rotating tower. Later versions were supposed to mount a 10.5cm KwK L/28 gun.

"Great Kit But Missing Something"
It's a great little kit and a sharp looking what-if AFV. I've gone back and forth between 4 or 5 stars. I do like this kit but I would point out that it does not have a gun sight. It's not a difficult thing to replicate...or you could just not worry about it. Assuming the layout is the same as the Panther, the gunner should be seated at the hatch in front of the commander's hatch or where the commander's turret is (depending on how you choose to build yours). You can find example sights on any of the Jagdpanzer types. It's a paper panzer so there's going to be some design holes that require filling. That's part of the charm.
