P-40F War Hawk

I have just finished building this kit and had a lot of fun with it. Is it perfect? Not really, some of the upper front cowling is a little wrong, but with a little sanding it will be improved nicely. I really liked the Photo etch in the landing flaps area. This was something that I had never done before. It really made the area look nice. You need to be careful with the parts placement, so be mindful of where they go. It improved the detail just enough for me. I had a little trouble getting the wings to set right. Sanding did the trick though. I think that this might have been user error on my part. So now I have a nice P-40F in my collection. I would do this kit again! Would I recommend this kit? Yes I would. I really like the Trumpeter 1/32 scale kits. They do a nice job with their choice of subjects. The instructions were easy to follow when you look closely at them. This kit expanded my skill set and was a fun learning experience for me. Next time I might look for some after market decals though. So, if you are looking for the P-40 F this is a good choice in my opinion. Have fun modeling.
