Vallejo started the idea of sets to weather and do layers. the primer is an acquired taste. I practiced with Zvedza 1/100 with a brush. they tell you paint exposed areas or darker less visible but good luck figuring that out, hence the brush bit. as far as airbrushing, really did work. you're not buying a ton of paint and you can reorder what you need more of individually.
