I have reviewed another car from this line wherein I said you could install mesh for the roof vents (clerestory sides) and suggested changing the coupler. That car wasn't lettered but now I have one to compare and I'm both pleased and impressed. The lettering of wood sided cars are challenging for the model maker due to the irregular surface, and there's been improvement over the years. But here the printing is outstanding to me, both on the body and letter boards, giving these cars a great period look behind my Bachmann #51405, ATSF 498 Sound Value ten wheeler, in service on a branch line. I'll be painting the trucks, steps and truss rods to finish these cars off since they deserve some TLC. Bottom line, you can build a very, very nice passenger train without having to take out a second mortgage on the house to do it. Recommended (the model, not the mortgage).
