It typifies the small corner business with its recessed corner entrance and office/apartment space on the upper floors.
This beautiful and ornate style dominated building design during the latter half of the 19th century.
Plastic wall sections are molded in one color.
This building is a composite of typical period architectural details.
White styrene sheet is used for the roofs.
Clear styrene "glazing" sheets are used for window openings.

Great Basic Kit

This is a Woodland Scenics kit, so the details are great. It is a basic kit with a few more parts than some of the other basic kits. The outside walls are very detailed. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is the lack of ANY roof details or ANY window treatments. Pros: quick, easy addition to your scenes and looks great. Cons: Other than molded details on outside walls, there are none.

Corner Drug Store

This is a nice kit for the cost, basic construction is pretty easy and this can be built in a few hours if your looking for a project to take on that is quick. This building is set up for a corner lot. Add primer you can paint with craft paint and come close to the color on the picture or do your own scheme. You can also add your own signs and details like mini blinds and curtains.

Design Preservation cuts corners

No prefab roof to aid in squaring the building, no interior alignment tabs on walls, no dry transfer decals for windows and walls, featureless polystyrene roof. But if you can get the walls square and flush the brick and cornice and other stonework can make an attractive and realistic building. I have my eye on a couple of other Design Preservation buildings and will probably get them as I like the period they portray but I do feel that there older stock was betterand would pay a little more for the previous features.
