"Good for extras."

This kit was a great kit for the extras it came with. I enjoyed using a lot of the extra parts it came with to upgrade other figures. I can recommend this kit just for the extra gear for the Americans.

Upon opening the box I noticed the quality of the figures and armament included. DML jumps ahead once again.

Excellent quality and detail, right down to the ammo belts and grenades. Sturdy material, easy to build and paint.

"Solid kit depicting a rare instance of US troops in the ETO wearing camo utilities."

This kit, I believe, portrays men from the 41st Infantry Regiment of the 2nd Armored Division. High level sculpting among each figure and subtle poses that depict a sense of tension in the patrol. Lots of gear accurately sculpted though be careful w/ the E-Tools which can break along the handle quite easily. There are some fitting issues with the arms for most of the figures. The ammo pouches are a little too big so you need to trim and sand them. Overall the proportions of the figures themselves are excellent but the helmets are pretty big by comparison which I see is also an issue w/ the Op. Varsity set that was released around the same time. Regardless I really enjoyed building these figures and I'm quite satisfied with my efforts.

Comments

  • Keep small parts and sharp edges away from children.
  • Care should be taken when using tools and modeling knives.
  • The paints recommended for use with this kit are for use by an adult only in a well-ventilated area.
