Heavy-Duty-Model
By: GTClassicPlastic
This is the same kit as the ERTL releases, originally produced by General Foods Fun Group. This kit is not the easiest to assemble but I loved it. It's not an over-night build! I've only ever had one of these models and have been waiting a LONG time to see it available again. I've seen many different configurations of this kit by other modelers but it looks great just the way it is. I've been wanting to get one and make it with 2 axles instead of three. It comes with extra parts to make a dump-truck box for the back of a truck. I also have always wanted one to stretch by using an extra section of the box that would be left over by making a dump-truck box. Although this trailer looks natural behind any heavy-duty work truck, it can be teamed with any semi-truck tractor.
Overall good kit, but beware

So I would like to start off by saying that overall, this is great kit. I mean, each kit has its flaws, right? This one has a bit more than I would have enjoyed, but they are easily correctable. The one that I had in particular had a large amount of flash and the dump had these odd imperfections along the ridges where you would expect it to be connected to a sprue. You know when you just break a piece off of the sprue without using cutters? that's kind of what it looked like had happened, even though it's a separate piece. The chassis' suspension requires clamps to stick together properly due to warping, but these are fine, like I said, easy fixes. I'm currently still in the building process, but I will update with pictures when it is completed.
Neat dump!
By: Tex Jester
Early in my trucking career (back in the late 80s), I pulled an A-frame end dump. This kit brings back some of those memories! Only issues I had were 1) I had to clamp the inner bed to the outer bed while the cement set; and 2) the vinyl tubing first wouldn't go on the nibs provided, then they wouldn't stay - I had to glue them. Decals were cool - I had enough to make the truck (International 4300 Eagle) and a pickup (Moebius 1972 Ford Sport Custom) into company trucks as well. I want to get more kits; maybe make a dump truck and then another trailer - 3 dumps in one truck!
Another classic MPC kit returns
If you enjoy building trucks you will like this kit. This kit replicates a 28' Fruehauf trailer. It is nicely detailed and goes together very well. Assembled straight out of the box it makes for a good looking model. The instructions are clear and this issue features an expanded decal sheet. I particularly like the scroll work and County Road Commission logos. It lends itself very well to kit bashing and modifying. It can easily be cut down to a tandem axle version. Or with some scratchbuilding it can be modified into several variations such as my gravel train I uploaded pics of.
A Versatile Trailer
By: bob_wanda494
Wow, where to start, this model trailer is very versatile, you can make it the three axle version, a 2 axle version and on top of that you can make a dump bed for a dump truck, This trailer isn't for beginners there is a little work to do on it and it sometimes doesn't go together like it should without a little know how, and depending on the version you intend to make there is some cutting to do, I do plan to buy me another one and make me a dump truck. I can't Wait.
nice model trailer, also includes the parts to make a dump bed

I have bought several of these. I really like them because they include the parts to build a dump bed for a truck. The trailer frame is not wasted if you just build the dump bed. It has great parts to build a drop deck or heavy equipment trailer. You can also build it as a 2 axle trailer instead of the three axle shown on the box. It is well worth having several of these for projects.
A bargain
If you use this kit the way I did you get a dump body to put on a tractor and use the chassis as the base for a flat bed so it's like 2 kits in one. Had fun being a little creative.
Great kit for construction dioramas

This kit has the directions for building the dolly converter so you can pull the trailer behind a regular dump truck. Glad that these instructions were included in this kit.
