"Mixed Bag"

The detail is pretty good on these. The figure with his leg up is perhaps the best looking of the bunch. The two other standing figures look stiff. The figures will need some cleanup, but it's not too bad. Trumpeter tried to key the caps but the fit doesn't work. In my opinion they created a solution to a on-problem. It's better just to sand the tops of the heads flat like most figure manufacturers do. Another issue is the size of the figures. They appear to be a little large for 1/35 scale. The one with the leg raised is probably the worst of the four. Trumpeter does send two Lee Enfield rifles, six AK-47s, and a PpSh41 with ammo drum. There are no ammo pouches for the AKs. One of the stiff standing figures has a molded on bandolier for the Enfield. This set has its ups and downs. I don't think I'd recommend it, but it is a subject with limited options so...if you need some Afganis for a build...the choices are this and the Miniart set.
