"Affordable Wagen with Extras"

This is an affordable kit that doesn't have very many parts. The directions are fine, though like another reviewer pointed out, the side mirrors, lamps and such, are up to your discretion on where they should be placed. How are the parts? They go together without too much problem. This is a solid looking kubelwagon that can be experimented upon without too many costly tears shed for messing up. Do you want to see if you can dent the fender? Go ahead. I did. It is harder than I thought it would be. Have you been hesitant to try a weathering technique? The kubelwagon can take it. I was planning on whitewashing it, but the grey chassis and black soft top colors turned out so well I decided against it. The figures and accessories don't wow me at all, put I can find a spot for the tent in a diorama somewhere.

"First EVER Italeri build"

Thought I would start with something small. Generally a pleasant, quick build. Some minor pits, fill areas and gaps, along with a bit of flash - nothing to crazy, however. Options included with the figure, radio, tent, etc., give options for staging and scenes . Working on the painting, so we'll see how if shakes out. Good quick build to either relax, or hone skills.

"Kubelwagen!"

What a great little kit this was! No issues putting together, instructions were very clear, pieces were clean and fix great! The figures, tent, table and chair and radio that came with the Kubelwagon are awesome additions and really make this kit stand alone for a diorama itself or makes amazing additions with other items! The only problem I had and still have is top up or down on the Kubelwagon haha highly recommend for anyone!

It was everywhere. With over 50,000 produced this kit is a good example of this inexpensive serviceable vehicle. My kit was very clean, very little flash, few sink/ejector marks and those were not to be seen after assembly. Assembly was easy with Tamiya cement and Plastrut Plastic Weld to hold things together. All cements, the kit and paint are from HobbyLinc. The body was painted with Tamiya German Grey XF-63, the top is Tamiya Field Grey XF-65. The tires and wheels are Model Color Vallejo Black 70.950. Tamiya Flat Red XF-7 and Tamiya Flat White XF-2 are to distinguish the radio and dash. To show some wear from factory to the east, I tried to weather the floor boards with Tamiya Sky Grey XF-19. To show a new but traveled vehicle I applied Game Effects Dry Rust 72.136 A nice kit, I liked the tent and radio with operator and officer. The table and small stool worked. Again, this box was a very clean one. An occasional Italeri whimsical where does the part go are on this kit. I made a close guess and drilled for the lamps. Looking at the period photographs, these vehicles are often in the background. I prefer the Revell kit, but this one from Italeri is very good and very inexpensive.. I would have more of these.
