The Italeri 1/35 scale Schwimmwagen is a very good kit for a very low price. It is an accurate representation of an extremely interesting piece of World War II machinery. I would recommend this kit for beginners and experienced builders alike due to its ease of construction. The kit offers a good amount of detail will little to no flash on the actual vehicle parts themselves. The only annoying flash present is the small band of flash around the figures which is easily dealt with, just time consuming due to all the nooks and crannies present on the figures. The only real problem I had with the kit was the fact the lower hull comes in two pieces, requiring you to glue them together before assembling the lower assembly to the upper hull of the vehicle. With a little patience and a little strategically placed putty, this simple and inexpensive kit can be turned into something wonderful. As a side note, if you are new to modeling or used to larger 1/35 armor pieces, the size of this kit can be a bit surprising. The finished length of the model is only about 4 long so if you are looking for something a bit larger once completed, it'd be best to look elsewhere. I can't compare the quality or accuracy of this kit to the Tamiya Schimmwagen kit because I haven't yet built the Tamiya kit, but for the money you surely won't be dissapointed.

Average detail so you will want to add on, but it is a nice part of the collection.
