(Personal Opinion) I want to preface my review by saying I’m not hard to please. Heck, I’ll paint just about anything I can get my hands on. Anything to keep my hobby going despite a shoestring budget. So, when I order a kit for myself it’s something I want pretty badly. I invested all of my bonus points into covering at least the shipping for this kit because I believed they would look great in a dystopian diorama project. Images I had seen of the digures themselves looked great.
Look, I don’t expect the product to reflect the imagery on the packaging perfectly, but these ladies are just....very masculine in their faces; the exception being the ringleader who looks to be 20 years older than any photos of this products I’ve seen, which I can’t decide if that’s worse or not. Literally, zero female accents on the other three girls’ faces; they look like men in drag. Plus, some of their details are just not very pronounced and it just makes for a disappointing product.
Technically speaking, they assemble easily enough but their proportions are just off somehow.
Cool concept, bad execution. None of this is Hobbylinc’s fault but I can’t recommend this kit and I doubt I’ll purchase any more Master Box products. Bummer. I’ll paint them begrudgingly and switch back to Tamiya and Airfix products.
