Snack Shack (wooden kit)

Sought out a structure like this to be used on a N scale winter layout as a Christmas Tree sales “shack”. While signage is all that remains for completion, it looks great so far for the intended purpose. This is not a bad product for the price. The kit includes a solid base as well as a “ceiling” to aid in assembly. A hole was drilled on the bottom to allow an LED to be inserted inside however since there is a ceiling, the positioning of the LED or adding a figurine, needs to be done through the front opening. Not major but think it’s worth mention. Painting the exterior grid fascia added some complexity but, in the end, think it enhances the look. As with many wood-based kits, care must be taken when separating parts from the sprue. This kit is no exception. IMHO, the assembly instructions were “squeezed” in a 8.5 x 5.5 insert and would have liked it to be a little cleaner. All too many manufacturers lack providing sufficient pre-sales information. It would have been helpful having multiple view and dimensions in assessing whether a structure “fits”. Both Osborne kits showed 2 dimensions but only on a view picture-Somewhat camouflaged. All in all, very satisfied with the look of the finished Christmas Tree sales shack.
