I have been a super 2001 fan since I was 15 when I saw it when it was released. Moebius introducing the 2001 line of kits was a godsend. I have all of them and the summer of 2022 I finally built this one. It is an excellent kit, the only way for Moebius, and has numerous parts but is not for the feint hearted. I also wanted to light it so bought a light kit. In the end I did my own lighting with a multitude of LEDs. It is complicated to build alone and very complicated with lighting. I spent a good month and many hours doing it but was very happy with the result. A week later I took it to a nearby, Plant City, FL, contest and won best general scifi, best overall scifi, and best of contest awards with it. I highly recommend it for the skilled modeler of real scifi spacecraft.
