AMX-13/75 I.D.F. Light Tank

Because of Takom's good reputation, I expected good fit and good detail and this kit delivers in those categories. Weaknesses include more flash than I expected, along with vague assembly instructions and poor planning, or maybe I should say engineering. This was most evident when placing two mirror-image parts on port and starboard and finding one of them on the E sprue and the other on a J or K sprue. The decals were acceptable, but nothing to rave about. My most significant complaint is with Takom customer service. My kit was missing a part, the lower half of the muffler. I had to search for an email to contact them and when I did my message was ignored for two weeks. When they finally replied, it was to tell me, in effect, to prove it. I scratch built a muffler. So my first Takom kit will also be my last.
