The Bachmann Old time Gondola has undergone some improvements now. I have 3 of the earlier run with truck mounted Rapido couplers and deep flanges and, while this car is basically the same model, it looks better than the older cars.
This latest version has body mounted Accumates, Bachmann's couplers and more scale (as in code 55 friendly) wheel flanges.
I was initially concerned that the body mounted couplers would restrict the car getting around 9 inch radius curves (my mines area has quite a few) but a test showed it could easily negotiate a Peco ST5 & ST6 turnout (the curved leg of this turnout is 9 radius).
While it still has the big Bachmann coupler, it will couple to MT couplers and it still rides high for my liking but it's acceptable to me. So thumbs up for this car
