Moebius models has done much to reinvigorate figure model building. Their homage to the Universal monsters, and the Aurora kits of them, clearly shows their dedication to an overlooked population of model builders. The Creature from the Black Lagoon, is another good example, but be prepared to use your model building skills. While the Creature is meticulously detailed, the surface texture diminishes greatly at the seams. This will make for a lot of seam work. Also, the hindquarters and inner thighs are conspicuously free of surface detail. Granted, the model is not made to be seen from behind, but this incompleteness is baffling. What you do on the seams, you'll have to do here. As a finished piece, the model is excellent, but rating it as a kit, it's only good.
