Great model, great detail, cool suspension

I was a little intimidated at first by the suspension but once I started to put this together it really was quite simple and actually a remarkable example of engineering. I had a little trouble with one of the springs popping out when I moved the wheel up and down put I twisted it a tad and pushed it down and it was just fine afterwards. Make sure you test everything before you put on the top of the hull because you won't be able to fix them after that. Pay particular attention to placement of the decals on certain versions. You might want to wait to put some pieces like the rails for the spare track on the turret, AFTER you apply the decals. The loader figure is different but the commander figure is the same as in the M4A3 Sherman models. The extras include ammo boxes and K ration boxes. A couple fuel cans would have been nice but you can always order more stowage. Since I spray painted the model waited to apply the tracks and painted the skirts separately. The only thing I don't like is the lack of periscopes and the missing casting marks on the turret. There isn't even a periscope for the commanders hatch if you decide to keep it open. Tamiya came up short on that one. Overall, a very fast build and great detail. You don't see many Pershings around so this an excellent choice to add to your collection of U.S. Army World War II tanks.
