This Photo Etch kit is good, not great. Since it’s a general kit, meant to suit the needs of many different IJN light cruisers, it lacks much of the specific details one may want (bridge windows for example). The instructions are pretty poor quality (there’s a single paper with a description of the part, and sometimes a hand drawn picture of what it looks like, or should look like when done). You’ll need to do a little research on your particular ship and look at lots of reference photos to get things correct. With that said, the quality of the photo etch itself is good: etching is finely done, the pieces fold easily, and it does make the ships lightyears more detailed than they were out of the box. As an inexpensive general option for Japanese light cruisers, this is a good buy.
