Was going to buy a more expensive one, but decided to go with a less expensive vice. The clamping pieces are made of rubber, but if your doing delicate work, you might want to place some foam over them. The clamping device is made of hard plastic, but so far, no problems. Same thing for the locking device for the swivel point. Am pleased with this product.
