This kit is both massive and finely detailed. The hull are two large pieces which fit together like the bread of a sandwich. But what makes this kit such a challenge is most of the other pieces (there must be about 200) are extremely tiny and delicate. For example, you have the option of building all the missile doors open or closed. Each missile bay (in open or closed position) has many pieces, and you'll need fine tweezers (and a lot of patience) to position everything. The forward rudders fit into the hull like gears in a Swiss watch. Like everything in this kit, they are intricate and very difficult to glue in place. To be honest, I started but could not finish my version of this kit - the gluing was too difficult. My Typhoon is a gloppy mess, a total loss. I've bought a second kit and will try again in ten years when I am more experienced. Recommended for EXPERTS only.
