Fantastic F-16 Fighting Falcon

The kit overall had minor fitting issues and was not an overly easy or difficult kit. I will note that, for kit builders that don't use the Mr.Color paints, I suggest getting the Wings 70s-present paint set from Vallejo. It comes with the grays used and a color key for some aircraft that use colors from the set, including F-16C. The kit itself did have some issues with the canopy option of having it open, and I suggest gluing the two tabs of the larger canopy piece to the slots where they'd be if closed, but rotate the canopy upwards until up at a position you like. The painting was good, and it went on the plastic just fine, enamel or acrylic. The weapons assembly onto the pylons should be handled with care, as gravity can make it uneven. The decals were very easy to apply, but did have a rather wide film, but this can be fixed with a good gloss coat. It is recommended to look at the marking and paint page before putting the weapons on the aircraft, and some other pieces, for an easier application process, and decal solution should help them conform as well as the gloss coat. Also, when it says to use Smoke Grey for the canopy, I suggest leaving it clear. The landing gear is stable, and the aircraft requires no weights to stand on the landing gear without tilting. The finished product is a beautiful looking addition to any 1/72 shelf, with patience and effort.
