I used the "Convoy Rubber Duck" parts from an Ertl kit to make a more accurate "Rubber Duck" on this one. This is the same model, but a first generation kit.

I'm switching the two chassis of these two kits. The yellow one is the DM600, and the green one is this R series truck. By Gary Tanck

Here's that ""Jacked up" in the back and lowered in the front..." one I showed before. I used the chrome from an mpc mack DM600 kit, tires from a Bandag Bandit etc.

Made this one into an old water truck, that would serve for a local 1/4 mile dirt track. By: GT Classic Plastic

This is the result of using the MPC Mack DM600 frame/chassis. Steerable front axle from the MPC/Ertl kit is nice, but it's the added height, more robust frame & wider stance suspension that I like after mix-matching these two kits. The R685ST chassis went under the DM600.

In-progress; shows the chassis (including fuel tanks & bat boxes) used from the MPC DM600 Mack on this "R" series. Different from wheels/tires also.

Finally finished it! This is my dragster Hot-Rod version shown earlier. I ended up using a 8V71 Detroit Diesel (V8), much chrome from an MPC DM series Mack, tires & pipes from a Super-Boss Kenworth & wheels from the gravel trailer kit.

Just showing different "in-process" R series Macks on this "Hot-Rod" chassis. This is one reason I like to build multiple kits at the same time - switch around - mock ups - new ideas.
