This a Real Life version of the truck that I would like to build, also another "Box Art" version of the same kit. Must "prettier" versions to me!

A lot of people has reported that they hate the two-piece cab this kit comes with. But think of the possibilities!

...with this "Two-Piece-Cab" a slightly advanced modeler could build a customized "Chop-Top" by only having to cut short sections,,,

...by only having to cut the 5 short sections,,, the sides on the back section just get 'moved down' when the lower half of the front gets glued in.

...by only having to cut the 5 short sections,,, very little putty had to be used, and only on the 2 corner posts.

This 2-piece cab comes with a separate "back" section; again making it very easy to "chop the top" by making one cut along the top of the back.

I added some putty because these kits ARE old and a good-fit is almost impossible, but nothing is impossible with these AWESOME OLD AMT kits!!!

Besides chopping the top, I trimmed off the lower portion of the cab bellow the headlights, bringing the bumper up closer to the lights.

With this chopped top custom, I am using an older bumper style from another White Freightliner (Western Star) and custom exhaust stacks.

I am using Styrene I Beam (1/2 Plastruct # PLS90520) for the frame rails (un-cut!) Checkout update videos on Youtube; GT Classic Plastic
