This is DML's Volksturm assembled and painted to match the box artwork.

The Volksturm armbands were printed on paper, cut out, glued to the model's arms and then touched up with paint.

The only thing that would make this set more realistic is slings for the weapons. I was lazy, so I didn't add them. The kneeling figure holding a panzerfaust, with his rifle on his back, does have a sling molded to his body which is good enough for me.

This boxed set included a tiny pair of photo-etched eye glasses, which I thought was a nice touch. I decided not to use them, again due to laziness.
