I used my own home made RED CHROME on the Carbs and the valve covers. The interior is White with Buck Skin in laid on the seats and door panels.

I added three winged knock-offs to my hub caps , front and back . The back ones you can't see but I know they are there .

In this picture , all I did was turned the head light buckets around and it gives you the look of mirrored head lights.

I love this model . It gives everyone the parts and nicely detailed parts to make your own "49" Merc the way you see or want to see and old classic. I had a blast building this car . I like everybody's pictures on here , and like I say it's nice to make it what you want .

Here's my Satin Black '49 Merc . I've built ( 3 ) Different versions of this kit and I my build another because this kit is one of the better kits out there today . I found that there are may way to do this kit with everything that comes right out of the box .

This pin stripe art is from the decals you get with this kit . I put one on top of the other . I used ( 4 ) different decals to make it look like someone spent a lot of time striping this car .

I did use the top of a Pro Stock Hood Scoop and a decal for the Model Chevy "Vantasy" kit . That's why I say it's just a "Cool" model to work with .

This is my Chassis Bottom . You really never see the bottoms of a model but I decal every where .

Painting the car Black , I decided to tape the interior of the body so I'd still have a white head liner . I did the interior Black and White .
