I felt that the Lug wouldn't be far enough out from the large bulbous nosecone to clear the launch rod, so I built up a mount to clear the rod.

I cut and shaped a piece of basswood to lift the launch lug 3/8" higher from the body tube. This worked fine.

When building you will find that the engine nut for the engine mount fits really tight into the body tube.

I painted mine up like a "War" model, added some stickers, and was ready to go.

The first flight was so great, I decided to put on a camera. This rocket flies straight up and returns almost back to the pad !
The only difficulty is the modification needed on the engine nut. For a skilled modeler, it is a fun build.
