Weak at the joint
I bought one of these to replace my rod from my childhood, and the threaded joint was quite weak and it ultimately bent. I went to my local hardware store, Lowe's, and purchased three rods of difference sizes for less. The only downside is that they are not plates with stainless steel so they require care and oiling plus I had to sand them. But it saved money and aggravation.
Does its job well
Provides extra strength and stability for larger rockets usings 24mm motors. Reminder, be patient when joining the 2 pieces so they dont bend. The Maxi rod should serve me well until I start building larger rockets that need a rail.

What is the point of buying a launching pad for 20-30 dollars when you can just buy this and stick it in the ground and it works just as well?
