"S-3 Viking"

I have over fifty assembled models in my stash and this model would be my absolute favorite. Now here is a model that is a lot of fun to assemble and being a 1:48 scale, it is quite large for the scale with 17 inch wing span, it's big....I painted the model in the classic Navy colors for this model in service for the Navy, light gray with TAN nose. There is a lot of detail and I also, painted the wind screen top with Model Master Transparent Black Window Tint, very realistic look. Take a photo of this model and it looks like the real thing. I do know that if you build this model, you will not be disappointed.

"Old Memories"

The kit is a memory of the deployed Shamrocks , as the photos show, aboard the USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) on the Med Cruise of 83-84. Years ago I had a similar kit and still remember the hoover vacuum sound this plane's engines made on approach to recovery on the flight deck. I even had a quick look inside one. The model represents one of the finest aircraft ever flown by the Navy, sub chaser, bomber, and utility tanker, this bird never gave up and always gave all. It could even deliver the mail! If someone builds this model please keep all of the history I mentioned in mind and although I was not a flight crew or even a handler I still had a huge respect for the aircraft known to all as the Hoover. One honor was that of the designation Navy One as President Bush landed in one of these great planes.

"Awesome Kit"

Excited to get started on this one. Very clean molded kit with virtually no flash. Has great engraved panel lines, Come with decals to do 3 different Squadrons VS-38 Red Griffins, VS-31 Topcats, and VS-24 Scouts.
