Reviews : Tamiya German Machine Gun Soldier Crew

This Tamiya kit was very easy to build and had no flash or molding lines, thus no cleanup required. It is a basic kit with full accessories for each soldier. Don't let the fact that it is pretty basic keep you from getting it and building it. This set took me about 10 hours to complete, including the painting and assembly. The set is excellent for practicing your painting and getting the details down. I use Tamiya and Vallejo paints and use the colors that were used when the items were actually produced in the 1940's. I keep a sheet outlining what color goes to what item so that I can keep it straight in my mind. The Tamiya paints here at Hobbylinc are very reasonable, especially the bigger jars. This crew will help fill out my much larger diorama that I am planning for the future. The set doesn't come with any extras, but it does give you the choice to build it using the MG-34 or the MG-42, which I appreciated. I used the MG-42 as when I think of a German HMG in WW2 I think of the MG-42. I haven't tried modifying the build with this set, but plan to in the future to have some variety on the diorama. Hope you enjoy building this as much as I did and happy modeling.

Liked putting this together cause of the different poses. I keep switching between small vehicles and figures as storage room right now is just about non-existent. My latest builds are crammed into a cardboard box till the house is built. But back to the kit. Everything went together smoothly. Some seam work but nothing major. Would recommend this if getting tired of armored vehicles.

this Tamiya machine gun crew set is as all ways up to the standard of in my experience any Tamiya product. The life like poses as well as the swapping of parts ( arms, weapons, etc.) There was a minimum of flash which was easily removed with a hobby knife. I would rate this as very good.

Awesome set... This is the first figure set I have purchased just to build the figures. Just like Tamiya armor kits, there was no flash and the mold lines were very light. I found this set perfect for a beginner figure painter like me.

Good plastic, nice details. Easy to modify. i got these to make diorama of injured soldiers in retreat and they came out nice with hard mod.

good detail at a great price tamiya is all ways good stuff from models to tools you cant go wrong with tamiya

This is good for dioramas especially when you put it next to a sturmgechutz 4.
