Reviews : Tamiya German Infantry Mortar Soldier Team Set

I've built Tamiya kits since the 70s and this tops them all. The figures are top of the line as they are highly improved and the additional motar is a stand alone kit of high standards as well. Follow the kit paint scheme as noted or mix and match German color schemes like progress through out WW2. I used a traditional color scheme as I like some units to look uniform. The quality of the kit speaks for itself in parts fit, crispness, and especially in the figure poses. I plan to order more. I highly recommended this kit to any age.

If you're looking for an easy and inexpensive kit, this is it. Minimal flashing to clean up, excellent mold detail and easy assembly. Comes with a variety of equipment for the four figures, individual mortars and mortar boxes. The only con would be it doesn't come with decals for the helmets. This kit would work well in any diorama scene you can think of. I highly recommend it.

This was a great buy, price is great, plenty of detail. You will need some attention when cutting the mortar stand free as it's pretty thin and fragile but other then that it's a great kit. This is perfect as a stand alone display or added with other things for a bigger diorama! Highly recommend!

I found a deal. A 80 mm German mortar for 595. so I bought five of these. they do not have any figures. only two mortar rounds. I recommend this set, which is on my Christmas wish list. This set is wonderful. look at the images from other modelers. John

This kit is full of every piece you could think of wanting for a small mortar team. Has many extra pieces you can use for other kits or keep as spares. The instructions are very detailed to get your figures as realistic as possible.

The poses for me are what really “sell” this kit, they have a ton of motion in them! Could be nice alone in a diorama or really fantastic if paired with a set of allied infantrymen sneaking up on their position!

Overall fun model to build lots of detail and extra gear for the mortar team. But you do need to be careful where the stand attaches to the mortar its very fraigel.

I'm very happy to have a this kit again About 15years ago I assembled this kit...I will make better diorama this time...so excited...

I had a kit like this when I was younger. Can't wait to build it again.

Exelent quality and weary aqurate but nead decal for the uniform and helmet

good detail on figures. Loved the building jig for the mortar. no flashing
