I have an old Bachmann G train starter set and have used the included steel track for years (usually under a Christmas tree). This year I finally purchased this track and what a difference! The track is noticeably heavier and the train doesn't slow at any point on the track like it used to (even when new). It also eliminated the derailments I have had in the past as I let it run for several hours last night without issue. The 12 pack creates a 5 foot circle when put together. I'm already planning a large layout for the train and will defiantly be getting the LGB Brass track to build it out.
