This is a 1/48 Plastic P-40C Tomahawk Model Kit from Academy Plastics. It's for ages 10 and up. The P-40C Tomahawk is an early model of the Curtiss Wright P-40 series. The first flight of the Tomahawk was on April 10, 1941. It was equipped with a new fuel supplying system and much more advanced radio equipment. Of the 16,802 P-40s, 1,705 of them were the "C" type. Currently, only one of these historical craft has been restored and is being kept in flight condition.

One of the best P-40C kits I've ever built

This P-40C was a great one. With extra parts for an option to convert this kit to Academy's classic P-36 Hawk, this Warhawk has great fit, recessed panel lines, and much more to surprise the recipient of this Academy delight.

great kit ! academy has done it again. great panel lines no flash. one of the best tomahawk models I have seen in a long time .don't pass this one up

Solid Kit

This is a solid kit with adequate detail and great fit. It doesn't have very many bells and whistles compared to other P-40 kits in regards to detail, but it's got enough to make it a joy to build. The pieces fit together well and very little post fit work needed to be done. I will probably buy this kit again.
