finisned project was better than anticipated when fisrt opened enjoyed the end results

This is the first time I've done a small painting. When it came in the mail in a small package. I was worried it would be a junior painting and not a adult. Do not let the packaging fool you as it did me. As I opened it I found a slip of paper with the color numbers to mix together for about 6 other colors besides the 8 to 10 it comes with. When mixing remember 1 part to 1 part. If its not exactly 1 to 1, don't be worried. There is no way you can mess this part up.There is no map included so, be sure to look at the cover for reference. Also, another good idea if your going to cover up a number for another area. Take a picture of the painting board before you start the painting, and zoom in on your phone to the area you need. And/or take a picture of the area before you cover the number/letter so you can go back to it when needed. You will also notice the pots are smaller then normal. Do not worry you should have enough to finish it even with the mixing as there is not alot of areas that need the mix colors. Mostly your mix colors will be in the branches. Remember to start with your darkest color to your lightest with white being totally last, even after mixed colors. Do your basic colors first before your mixed colors and save alittle for touch ups later as needed. If you do mix to much and need more give them a call and they can help you get replacement colors. Always better to have to much then not enough. Reuse old pots if you have any for your mixed colors and mark with the letter for it. If you don't have any pots you can find them at just about any hobby store. O get a small tube of folkart brand of black and white to use in those areas. For the WH and BK. Once your finished besure to let it dry completely for at lest 3 days. No need to seal it as acrylics are self sealing. And frame with a matting around it so there is a gap between the painting and the glass. Acrylics should never touch glass. A 11 x 14 frame fits perfect with this one with room for a matting around it. I hope these tips help you and enjoy.
