LCVP Landing Craft & 3 Crew

Heller is not a brand that is known for making kits with good details, this LCVP is no exception. However, it is a good kit that, with patience in assembly, can turn out to be very decent in the end. The model itself is reasonably detailed and the parts are also reasonably well made and fit together well. I liked the way the front ramp could be lowered and raised using the supplied thread. It also comes with 8 beach obstacles (of 4 different kinds) that are a nice touch for a diorama, and three LCVP crew figures (driver and two gunners), these figures are not very pretty. All in all, it's a good buy (not great, but cheap) and it's not a difficult model for the amateur modeller.
