Measurements indicate the maximum amount of side-to-side travel when the lever is thrown.
  • Operating high level switch stand is based on prototypes used by many roads. Working parts are Delrin. Also includes six targets, nonworking lantern and square diamond made of ABS plastic. Manual target can be adapted to work from an electric switch machine (sold separately) below the benchwork. .190" travel. Kits now include a shim to raise the stand to tie level, along with five different fittings for use with most turnouts, including Atlas, Roco, Peco, Micro Engineering and Shinohara.

Have several of these on my layout. They look terrific and work well. Much stronger than they look. These are used exclusively on my mainline trackage.

"Good solution for many track throws"
Steve K (Ohio)
Caboose industries offer great products. Having been away from model railroading for some years. From memory of years ago I dreaded having to figure out how to throw track switches well. Things have changed for the better. These handy little throws are inexpensive and seem so far to work very well. Especially for track switches that don't get thrown very often if at all. They won't work everywhere. If you have a switch hidden or out of reach of your hand or that needs to be thrown all the time you might consider a remote powered switch throw. There's no reason to spend a lot of time and money on powered switch throws if they are little used. Just be careful when installing that they have have an ample and unhindered path of travel so the tiny plastic gears don't strip out.

Caboose Industries High Level sprung switch stand is another fine example of Caboose Industries quality and attention to detail. As is typical of their ground throws, they work great at throwing the points and are sturdy enough for regular operational use. I especially like the options available for the targets.
