"Great Kit for Starters"

I bought this kit with an A-10 airplane set over Christmas to work through holiday stress. It was the first time I made models in 20 years, and this set of flat paint (you need FLAT paint for military aircraft), made it easy to work through my first 5 models. Standard colors for most models. You can make these colors fit, even if they are not perfect matches.

This set is perfect for beginner who wants to paint! This is a very good place to start. The paint isn't of the highest quality, but it will do just fine for a beginner. After this set, I recommend upgrading to Vallejo paint. Vallejo makes very good paint and the colors match almost perfectly to the real colors. But, this is very good place to begin! I recommend this!

The colors cover a lot of what I need for painting WWII warships, so I'm happy with that. The included brush however is pretty poor. I'm not sure if there is a better alternative, but hope that there is. I guess if you are totally painting individual pieces prior to assembly this would be fine, but for detail painting of a hull, forget it. I really bought this for the paints, so overall, it's what I expected, and would buy again.
